I’d like to share my short story that I know will resonate with you…
Hi, I'm Holly. I'm a Certified Personal Trainer... and definitely not a writer, so please forgive any mistakes I make here. I normally don't post much, but I learned something that really helped my mom, and I wanted to share.
Ok… so I’m a newly Certified Personal Trainer, and one of the first things I did when I became the “real deal” was work with my mom. She's 44, and was struggling to keep a healthy weight. Plus, her energy was low, and she just didn't feel very good about herself.
The strange thing was, she tried lots of different things to get (and keep) a healthy weight, but nothing seemed to work. It was almost like her body wouldn’t respond anymore... sometimes even gaining weight when she dieted.
Even when she ate totally healthy (even trying my dad's vegan diet) and exercised, it just didn’t make the difference she wanted.
So I started doing some research for her, and I found a video that explains what was happening. And it turns out this is pretty common as women age, and it happens to a lot of us. It wasn’t really her fault that nothing she tried worked. It was like her body was fighting her.
The surprising thing to both of us was that it only effects women. Especially as we get older. Because of everything our bodies have to go through that men don't (think childbearing, menstruation, etc.), we end up actually developing a resistance to losing weight.
That's why it was so hard for my mom. She had developed something called leptin resistance. And it biologically prevented her from getting to her goal weight.
That's the crazy thing... it wouldn't have mattered what she did. Her female body was saying "No. I can't do that anymore."
And it was so frustrating for her, because she always said that my dad could just "think about exercising" and lose weight. But not her.
With more research, I found out that if she could fix her leptin resistance, she actually had more fat-burning potential than my dad. She never would have guessed she could be better than him at losing weight... but that's another cool thing about the female body. We can burn more fat than men, but only when we release our leptin resistance.
Once she learned the simple way to work with her body, instead of against it, everything started working for her. She dropped over 20 lbs. (and 4 dress sizes) and hit her goal weight for the first time in more than 5 years.
Neither one of us had ever really considered just how different the female body is than a man's. I mean, we obviously know it's different. But the things we put our bodies through, and how our bodies adapt, are so different that there are secrets we deserve to learn in order to feel good about ourselves, no matter our age.
My mom went from “feeling tired, slow, and not motivated” to reaching her goal weight and having tons of energy. And it only took 3 days for her to start seeing and feeling the difference.
My dad was skeptical at first (like he is when my mom starts her latest "fad"). But he’s a believer now. He loves her new look (which he admits is shallow... but still true). More than that, he loves her new energy and confidence (and friskiness, to be honest).
Mom and I both know that our lives shouldn't be about looks. But, let's be honest, ladies... we like to look and feel good. And the long-term benefits of being healthy are worth it. Especially when mom's starting to think about being a grandma, and wanting to play with the grandkids and not slow down.
I learned most of this from watching a video I found while doing my research. That video literally changed my mom's life.
If you’re a woman who has struggled with a slowing metabolism, low energy, or weight gain, you owe it to yourself to watch the presentation which you can find right here.

I really hope it has even a fraction of the impact on your life that it has had on mine and my mom's, because the information you're about to learn has forever changed our lives.
